Forever Loved

I've seen the heavens open wide,
Cascading clouds falling to the sides.
Upon the earth it cast a glow,
And from above glorious light did flow.

There it came with brilliant song,
The voice I've waited to hear for so long.
A beautiful kind and loving lilt,
It tumbled and spun to earth on a tilt.

Soft as silk white as snow,
It rained on my ears far below.
I've heard my Saviour's voice from the sky,
My heart skipped a beat and longed to fly.

He called my name and saw my eyes,
He turned them upward without disguise.
He's seen my face sorrows etched,
And yet to earth he came my soul to fetch.

His love so dear I can't explain,
But yet to tell I'll endure many a pain.
I love my Lord his story to tell,
And so I'll speak it my voice a bell.

He's come to me a love forever,
Parted from me he shall be never.
My heart is his it shall always be.
Forever in love with the rescuer of me.

Fellowship - Prayer Blog

My dear readers, let us not forget our brothers -  new believers who have just committed their lives to God. Seekers who have found an answer in God's love, and desire to learn more about him.

Too often we forget about these hopefuls. Seasoned Christians forget how hard those first few steps of faith can be, how lonely the beginning can be, how easy it seems to turn around and go back to life before faith. New believers have just started down the path of a life lived for God and they have questions; they want to know what faith is about, they need guidance.

I'm sure that most of you - in fact, most of the church - knows one or two new believers, and, as brothers and sisters in faith, let us not forget the newcomers; let us take them under our wings, teaching the ways of God, showing them his wonderful hand at work in their lives. Let us set them on the straight path towards life eternal. Let us become of one mind - the mind of Christ - nurturing the newcomers, bringing life where there is none. Let us all be the hands and feet of Christ and bring in joy to the dark places of the world. Let us, brothers and sisters, not forget those who need us most. Let us bring answers to those who have come seeking them; let us remember all who come searching.

Prayer:
Dear God,
Give us all a heart for new believers, people who have committed to you and desire to walk in the way that you have set for them. The Bible says that even heaven rejoices when one new person enters eternity, so let us be joyful also. Give us joy for the newcomers; let us rejoice and teach them. Give us a heart to see the world reached. And, Lord, let us all - new and old believers alike - have eyes to see the lost and hurting, those who have no hope. Fill our hearts with your love, that the whole world may know who you are and experience your love overflowing.

Our Love

You can't tell the difference between Christians and unbelievers. We don't look strange, we don't talk strange. But there is one thing that makes us very different; the Christian's love. Look closely as a group of people walks down the street. You might not see it but you know it's there - the light of God's love shining though us. We will glow, touching every hurt, poor, lost person. We're the ones who help the tripping woman, the crying child and the dirty boy. No matter if they're homeless or live in a beautiful house. We care for everyone with our love; we try to bring God's love and hope into everyone's lives no matter if they know they need help on not. No we don't look different but glow with God's love for everyone.

Why Do We Care

We are all created in God's image, to treat each other as friends. Why then do we compare skin color, faith, and race. Why do we care if someone is black or white, we are all the same. We do not need to classify people as "a Black man" or "a Asian woman." If your talking about a person obey God's request to love your neighbor as your self. Would you describe your self by putting your skin color before your name? Next time before you classify someone as a "black or white" think, "Would I want to be describe by the color of my skin? Next time your hear someone classify a person by their skin ask them, "Why do we care."

To love the Lord

To love the Lord your God with all your heart, nothing else should come before it. Jesus died on a rugged cross for you; he was beaten and taunted for you. Jesus loves you so much, you should love him back. It breaks his heart when someone turns away from him, discarding him for something else. The truth is no one can love you as much, nothing can give you something to hope for. No one but Jesus Christ. So if you really love him, show it. Love the Lord your God with all your heart to show him you care and are thankful for all he's done for you.

Love the Unloved

We all want to love our families, our friends, our leaders, and our mentors.

But what about the unloved: the young man who neglected his parents; the old woman who spent most of her life in a gambling parlor passing out drinks; the man who murdered his brother; the teenage girl who spent money so carelessly that now she's living in the homeless shelter?

All of these people need love and kindness. If you see someone like this, don't just say, " The next person who sees them will help." Chances are, the next person will do exactly what you did.

We need to be proactive with God's love. Jesus loved the unloved, healed the hurting, and even died for you. So let us be like Jesus, loving the people who are not loved, helping hurt and lame people, and even dying for our faith. Be like Jesus and love the unloved.

The Cross

You think of a cross as the piece of wood hanging in your church. But take into consideration what happened on it. Jesus died for your sins; he loved you so much that he was tainted and shunned on the cross for you. Next time you see a cross, thank God with sincerity that he was nailed to the cross for you.

How

How could this little child save the world? How could he be a perfect little boy? How could this man perform such miracles? How could this man be the Messiah? How could this man sit at the feet of his apostles and wash the dirt off? How could this man be betrayed by one of his own? How could this man be hung on a cross, allow himself to be tainted and shunned? How could this man die? How could he rise again? How could he love me?

Because he is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Matter of Love

We all make mistakes. We do not deserve to go to heaven, yet God sent his only Son to save us. He loved us, so why is it that people naturally assume that God doesn't love prostitutes, idolaters, drug addicts, and people like Mr. Obama?

God wants us to reach the world, not curse the people who aren't like us. You, most likely, don't think of yourself this way, but stop and take a good look at yourself. Maybe they have a reason to be the way they are. Maybe they grew up in an abusive home, or their father divorced their mother or vice-versa. Maybe they grew up on the street. We need to embrace these people. They need some love and compassion.

I'm not saying that we should consider it as a chore, but as a thing that needs to be done with a joyful heart and mind. We need to fulfill our mission, not as a matter of duty, but as a matter of love.
