Letting off Steam

God made your mouth. He made it to glorify him, to sing praise to him. Yet we disobey him. We speak in harsh, dirty language. Curse words and slander pour out of our mouths like a wind. And even if you don't say them, you think them. No matter how much you try to convince yourself that your just letting off steam, you're not. You're misusing your mouth in a way God didn't intend for you to use it. Think about this for a while and change the way you let off steam.

Outcast

Idolaters, prostitutes, terrorists, and other people like this are often shunned by the world, said to be no good. But if they're outcasts, so are you. You were not worthy of heaven, but God was gracious to you and saved you. So do his work by reaching out to these people. Give them a firm place to stand and send another person into God's service.
