Thank You Dads!!!!!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. Today is your day, the one day out of the year when people pull you aside and congratulate you for having kids. Your friend at work wishes you well; that guy you eat lunch with does the same. Your wife tells you how glad she is that you're a dad, and your kids give you an extra hug and tell you that they'll never want any other dad but you. So on Father's Day you go to bed beaming, knowing you're doing a good job as a parent because everyone told you so. And you are a great dad and that's what everyone says.

But Father's Day is also a day to thank dads for everything they've done without thanks. Thank you, dads, for all you've done! Every sports event you sat through, all the scraped and bruised knees you patched up, running behind us for hours after we took the training wheels off our bikes. Thank you for every encouragement you ever gave us, thank you for the kind corrections, thank you for never letting us quit when things got hard. Thank you, dads, for all the love you give your children through thick and thin, for every nap on your shoulder, and every toss that made us fly into the air. Thank you for giving us the courage to follow our dreams. Thank you for always being there, and thank you for being a dad.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.

Bring Us All Together

The world we live in is full of people with many different lives, homes, and cultures; God is so creative that he was able to create a world full of thousands of people, and yet not any two of them look or act exactly the same. Everyone is his/her own unique person; you are the only you in the world.

With so many people in so many places, it can be hard for us to see eye to eye all the time, impossible in some cases. Ideas from the thousands of people on the planet can jumble together and become a mess that is extremely hard or impossible to sort out. But every once in a great long while one idea will emerge, one that we can all agree on and rally behind. When this happens, we cease to be many different countries and cultures and people; banding together, we become one strong world that is unbreakable, unstoppable, and God honoring! In these times of strain, it is a wonderful thing if only a few come together, for it is the beginning of something bigger.

Thank you to all the people in this world that read my blog; this post is less of a message but more one of gratitude for those people who support me by continuing to read my posts. By doing so, you demonstrate what is written above - the world coming together spurred by one idea: the words I write. By reading them you are connected with many different places: America, South Korea, Japan, Portugal, England, and many more.

Thank you again for believing in what I say and for sticking by me; I hope you will continue to read my blog in the future and that this one girl's words will make a difference in your life.
