Prayer Blog - Prayer
Prayer is a very important part of daily life; the actual definition of prayer is "a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressing God." Just think about it for a moment: prayer is a way for you to communicate with the God of the universe, a personal phone call that lets you praise our creator. As such, you can also ask God for help when needed - help for yourself, family, or friends, and even people you do not know personally. Prayer can be spoken any time in the oddest of places because no matter where you pray, God will hear it; so right now as you're reading this, let's take a moment to pray the words below:
Dear Lord,
We gather together to thank you for all that you do for us, for all the love you bestow on an unworthy world. A people who would put you to death are still in your heart for you to love and save. Thank you for your gift of prayer, a way to praise and honor you, a way for us to ask you for anything, a personal lifeline to the greatest being in the universe. Thank you, God, for our lives, and help us to use them for your glory.
It doesn't matter if you didn't pray the written prayer; just pay attention to the words and know that they are true.
I hoped you liked this little experiment; I might just do more prayer blogs in the future.
