America, what a place. The land of the free, home of the brave, and an altogether mess!
I know when you think "America," that is not usually what you think of, but look around. As a country, the USA is sadly lacking in quite a few areas. Many Americans have no national pride whatsoever, they do not care about each other, and they are sadly inept in their knowledge of the Constitution and our country's laws. Now I'm not saying we're completely lost, but I would say that we are headed in the direction of so many a great country gone to ruin. Our main problem? Arrogance. We have gone too far from our roots and refuse to admit it. I pray we can realize this before we are too far gone.
Prayer
Dear Lord,
We gather together to pray for our country, the United States of America. We have strayed so far from our beginnings and it is a long road back. We ask, Lord, that you help us. Let us trust in you to sustain us as a nation. Lord willing, we pray you do not intend this country to end like so many before us; if so, we pray that you will always be with us. Let us turn ourselves around and become the great nation we once were, a God honoring country of free men.
