The Quest

Young Tomas the knight rode out of the battlement astride his dashing white charger, ready for an adventure. He bravely rode into the forest, ready to face whatever ugly foe he might encounter. In the woods, Tomas was battered and beaten, torn by sharp thorns, and crushed by every goblin, ghoul, or giant that found him. Realizing too late that he was inexperienced, Tomas fought as best he could in his bedraggled state.

Late one night, a lone figure limped out of the forest; Tomas had come back to the castle he had left in such triumph, returned to finish his training with his teacher, the teacher he had run away from to "prove" himself. His teacher accepted him with grace and love ,and after years of training Tomas returned to the forest and triumphed.

God will always forgive us when we do wrong.
